Things to know before you claim

There are few things you have to know before you claim, Firstly, you must be registered as self-employed before you make a claim. Secondly, you also have to register for CIS. You will need your legal business name, national insurance number, unique taxpayer reference number and VAT registration number. Be aware! What you claimed is only use for work and you paid it out of your pocket. Throughout the process of applications, receipts are not always needed. We will let you know if we need any receipts (it won’t always happen, don’t worry!).
